Melody VII was pretty clever, picking one of the least memorable parts of the Rogueport theme. Given that I actually finished Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, I should have known it. Especially since I remember the less obscure portions afterwards...

I'm not getting a close enough rhythm (and possibly even melody) match for Melody I, though, especially the last 2 bars. The prominent notes are there (and dagnabbit does that melody's Bars 3-4 sound unrecognizable without the harmony), but the accessory notes don't seem to be...(I'm partially recognizing the song up to your point on later listen, but straight after your passage is freaking me out.)

Melody XV was excellent at fooling me into thinking it was from the Zelda series (the Hyrule Castle theme from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past sounds similar enough, so I ended up listening to a lot of Hyrule Castle themes instead of guessing Metroid, as I thought the tune sounded familiar).

Melody I was kind of a weird one to try to make one melodic line out of since there's so many things going on, so I ended up choosing what I thought were the most prominent notes.

In the future, I'll probably include a bit more stuff in songs like these for clarity.
