I'm trying to figure out a way to respond to this that is both funny and non-condescending at the same time. It's not going well.

"Spoopy" is a common misspelling of "spooky" that's used to describe something that is not remotely scary on its own, but contains elements of things that are stereotypically "scary". For example, anything completely normal that happens on Halloween can be described as "spoopy" just because of its association with Halloween. A skeleton playing a trumpet is also "spoopy." thank mr skeltal doot

It's early, I'm bored, I wanted to define spoopy.

I've started to hate the term grammar nazi.  It's more like I happen to care/be passionate about proper grammar and I want you to be too.
