Quote from: mastersuperfan on December 05, 2015, 11:24:16 AMIs there a way I can notate the glissando as being played by the fifth finger only?

You don't have to; using the 3 finger would probably hurt less, and it would allow you to not have to cross-your right hand over itself (as using 5 would necessitate for to play the following chord with 4 at top)

The only flub I see is at m. 8 beat 2 LH -- it should be unison with the RH always.

My piano teacher suggested using the 5 finger since it's a quick jump from the low E to the high E, but I can see what you're saying. I'll go ahead and change it since it wouldn't be much worse to land on the high E with the 3 finger (which is what he wanted to avoid).

So then, the finger markings are okay as they're notated?

Fingering is always a very personal topic. I'm just happy you took the time to consider notating it. NSM needs more of that.

Oh, and you missed a spot:

Oh, whoops. Fixed that.

I don't know if this happens on Windows versions of Finale 2014, but there always seems to be a glitch where half the time, when I click a spot on the staff to notate a note, the resulting note comes out one interval lower on the staff. It's been present ever since I went from 2012 to 2014, and I'm assuming that's probably what happened there.
