I haven't died yet through the first boss battle, but the difficulty level is definitely there. Treecko has Dragon Breath as a move which is really helpful.

TBH when the partner asked me to be his friend and gave me the scarves, I almost started tearing up. The whole "schoolchildren" thing is really hitting hard too. Great job at making me remember what being a kid was like :')

Only about 3 hours in so far. I am enjoying it immensely.

My only problem was the inability to pick gender at the start. This wouldn't be a problem if I weren't playing as Pikachu who of course has to default to "male" because pikachu. I like the cut tail! but no I guess I'm just an intersex pikachu lmao

I agree, the story is phenomenal.  I almost don't want to waste time dungeon crawling daily

EDIT: TURNS OUT I WAS ON CHAPTER 14 AND I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT I LOVED THAT IT'S SO MYSTERIOUS
