TWG LXXXI: The Puppet Master

Wolves:
1. Master Wolf - Can destroy 1 puppet he owns to destroy all other puppets currently in the game during the night phase. If he does, the wolf team has to skip their wolfing for that night phase and the next.
2. Substitute Wolf – If he would die while owning a puppet, the puppet is destroyed instead.
3. Investigation Wolf – Learns the identity of all previous owners of the puppets he owns as well as the phases they owned them.

Humans:
4. Inheritor – Once per 2 day phases he can destroy 1 puppet he owns to inherit its power.
5. Guardian – Can target 1 player each night phase. If that player would be wolf'd or vigi'd during that night phase and that player owns a puppet, the puppet will be destroyed instead (if that player owns multiple puppets, the puppet destroyed is decided randomly).
6. Reviver – Can own up to 3 puppets at the same time. Can destroy 3 puppets he owns to revive one dead player during the night phase. Cannot revive puppets.
7. Human
8. Human
9. Human
10. Human
11. Human

12. Miller

Rogues:
Rogues are immune to wolfing or vigi'ing.
13. Puppet Master – Can paint a player each night phase. Can create a puppet that is not currently in the game during the night phase (two puppets if there are no puppets currently in the game), even if that puppet has been in the game before but was destroyed since then. That (those) puppet(s) will be sent to a random non-rogue at the end of said night phase. The Puppet Master will be notified which player(s) received the puppet(s, and who recieved which puppet). As long as the Debt Collector is alive, any puppet sent to the Puppet Master is sent to the Debt Collector instead. When the Debt Collector dies, the Puppet Master will lose its power to create puppets and gains all the powers of the Debt Collector (including the ability to own any number of puppets).
14. Debt Collector – Can own any number of puppets. Can target one player during the day phase. If that player owns a puppet, the Debt Collector will steal that puppet and that player loses his vote for life (when that player dies and is revived, that player will regain its vote). When the Debt collector dies, all of his puppets will be sent to the Puppet Master rather than being destroyed.

Puppets
Puppets are a combination between items and roles. They are represented by the anonymous TWG accounts. Their votes count as 1 unless stated otherwise. They cannot be wolf'd, vigi'd or lynched but they can be destroyed by a variety of powers. They are also destroyed if their owner dies, unless stated otherwise. Players can use their puppets to post or sent messages, but they are not allowed to enter the chat under the identity of their puppet. Each player can only own one puppet at a time, unless stated otherwise. Players can send puppets to other players during the day phase. If they do, those puppets cannot activate their powers during said day phase or the next night phase.
list of puppets
1. TWG Mario - Seer Puppet – Can seer a player during the night phase. 3 uses.
2. TWG Luigi - Psychic Puppet – During the night phase, can chose either Wolves, Humans or Rogues. Will be told the number of remaining players of that team at the end of the night phase. 2 uses.
3. TWG Bowser - Vigi Puppet – Can vigi a player during the night phase. 1 use.
4. TWG Yoshi - Reanimate Puppet – Can restore the power of another puppet during the night phase. 2 uses
5. TWG Waluigi - Backup Puppet – Vote counts as 0. When its owner dies, rather than being destroyed, will steal all remaining powers and all votes from all puppets currently in the game (including other puppets owned by its owner). Destroys itself after a full day cycle without owner. When that happens, the stolen votes and powers return to the puppets. Power cannot be inherited, but it can still be destroyed by the inheritor.
6. TWG Link- Time Control Puppet. Can instantly end a phase. Any actions performed before the activation of this power (including votes, wolfings, role powers and puppet powers) will still go through. 1 use
7. TWG Kirby - Mirror Puppet – Any power used against it or its owner is sent back to the player performing that action. If the action was performed by a puppet it will be sent to the owner of the puppet instead. Power expires after 2 uses.
8. TWG Pikachu - Martyr Puppet – Can sacrifice itself and its owner to revive one player. This power can be activated during any phase.
9. TWG Samus - Trance Puppet – Can put a player other than its owner in trance during any phase. Players in trance will be considered dead (doesn't count towards its team for victory conditions, can't vote, can't activate powers, can't be targeted by wolfings, lynchings role powers and puppet powers and any puppets it owns will be destroyed). It will be publicly announced if a player is put in trance. At any time, the player in trance can chose to destroy Samus. If Samus is destroyed, the player will be released from its trance. 1 use
10. TWG Fox - Medium Puppet – Can chose up to 2 puppets currently not in the game during the day phase. During the following night phase, its owner gains access to the accounts of those puppets in order to view their messages. However since they are not in the game, they cannot perform any action. 3 uses
11. TWG DK - Roleblocker Puppet – Can target one player or one puppet during the day phase. That player or puppet will lose all its powers for the following night and day phase. If a player is chosen, all puppets he owns will also lose their power for the following night and day phase. 2 uses.
12. TWG Falcon - Tribune Puppet – Can send in a tribune message of 200 characters or less to the host during the night phase. That tribute will be posted by the host at the end of the night phase. The tribune always ends with 'FALCON PUNCH!!' even if that would go past the character limit. Each time he sends in a tribune, he can chose to raise or lower its vote count by 0.5 (vote count can't go below 0) (bolded part cannot be inherited). 3 uses.

The game starts with no puppets in the game.

Wolves know eachother, Rogues do not know eachother.
Teams win by eliminating all members from both other teams.
Teams also win when it becomes impossible for both other teams to win.

Dudeman

Are puppets destroyed when all their power uses are up, or can they still vote?
Quote from: davy on June 25, 2015, 04:13:07 PMAt any time, the player in trance can choose to destroy Samus. If Samus is destroyed, the player will be released from its trance.
When would it ever be beneficial to stay in trance? Doesn't this set up Samus for failure every time?

Really like this idea. It just needs a whooooooole lot of active people to work.

In.  I'm assuming that davy is the only person interested in hosting, in which case, I would like to begin his game as soon as possible.

I've updated the first post with the list of Players.  There's a question mark next to the names of those people who joined more than 2 days ago; if you could be so kind to post in the thread reaffirming or disconfirming your interest to play, I would appreciate it.

Puppets are not destroyed when all their power uses are up, so they can still vote.

The benefit of staying in trance is that the player in trance has immunity to wolfings, lynchings, role powers and puppet powers. Samus will at least always succeed in destroying the players puppets (if that player has any) and if timed correctly (just before the end of a phase) she will block that players vote, wolfing or powers, or if that player was the last player of a team even achieve victory.

I can't be as active as I'd like while on vacation, so I can't be in this one. :(  I'll be watching, though!

I've edited the first post.  davy (or anyone else), is it feasible to make a 10 Player game to Host?  Assuming that no one joins, we have 10 Players participating.

SlowPokemon

Actually....I would be interested in hosting a ten player game. I've been rereading old games and I'm kinda feeling like getting into this again. If I have to play a game first, that's fine too.
