Probably not. It's just a patent, meaning that anyone could have taken it by now (five years after the post in question was made) and invented and sold it in a country where that patent wasn't issued. If it really was a cure for AIDS, you'd probably see patents around the world so that somebody couldn't set up a lab in Timbuktu and create the thing, then sell it and make a fortune.
