This would imply a majority would in fact help them win. Considering that Dude's power is a double edged sword people won't want for him to succeed. In Verm's case revealing themselves might lower their chances of getting lynched, or in fact mean they have to stick around to the end if we keep coming up with all these plans where the most people possible win and having someone stick around until the end increases the chances of the plan failing and them not winning.

Hang on, doesn't that basically make whoever has the role NOS a wolf/saboteur?
