I'm not sure you see the irony. You thought that the game, which was basically an extension of the first with entirely new worlds and levels, as well as new modes of gameplay, was a shameless and pointless rehash, exactly the same as what came before it. But you loved Throwback Galaxy which is an exact replica of Thwomp's Fortress from Super Mario 64. I honestly can't figure out if you think before you say something or if you're testing me to see if I'll figure out the holes in your logic.

SMG1 was the maingame while SMG2 was the really epic DLC where you just went into a stage-select instead of being in the mainhub. I absolutely love SMG2 though, since I felt like it was a better version of SMG1.
