I didn't participate in the Solos one so I don't count that as a contest we did.

I actually got about half through it before I just stopped working on it.

I tend to just drop projects for months before returning.

^nasty habit.

Alright, since no one else has posted about it yet, 'I'll assume that a non-blind approach will be the way to go with this one.

You can probably make the sign-ups then so we can get an idea of who's playing/judgroring.

An idea for next time, if only a simple one: Theme and Variations.

We can set a number of variations needed and possibly require certain ones to be done (invert key to minor/major; rework into a different meter, etc.)

What about jazzification/ big band arrangement? Some people could go to town!

I would be partial to Theme and Variations as well.

Olimar12345

Theme and variation sounds like a fun idea! I'd be down!

Jazz? Eh. I feel like not enough of the arrangers would know enough about it to execute it very well.

We could always restrict the song; we haven't done that yet. d:

Whoa. Theme and variations would be incredible. But I think it would also be very difficult.

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

MaestroUGC

TWe should propbably give people a choice between 3 songs or so for Theme and Variations, gives people a chance to compare what they did to each other for a single common theme.
Try to do everything; you're bound to succeed with at least one.

I don't think I have enough knowledge on jazz theory or music analogy to participate in either of those even if I had the time. I could see many others being in the same boat as I.

FireArrow

I think we should arrange something into fugue form, easier than jazz atleast.

straight from the department of redundancy department

Olimar12345

It would most likely yield similar results, though. Not enough people knowing how to do something like that.
