No, you need a gamecube controller. Make sure your version of the wii is backwards compatible before you buy the game (why nintendo stopped that halfway through, I'll never know.)

As for good deals, just search the web and find the best one. If you go to a store, your taking a high risk that they won't happen. Plus, this game is awesome, it's worth overpaying for.

Some wiis can't play game cube games. Check the top of yours to see if your have ports for gamecube remotes.
