Considering how Amiibo compatibility is confirmed for games such as Mario Kart 8, I'm getting my hopes up so high for getting to drive as Meta Knight or Bowser Jr., like holy goddamn shit.

amiibo is a neat concept (albeit taken from skylanders) but i'm still not sure if i want to buy them yet or not. of course i'd like helping out nintendo but 13 dollars for a little plastic figure is a little much for me at this point.

Actually I don't even know what they're for. I just want to get some and put them on my desk because they're cool as ice.

Yeah, I think it's storing your movesets so you can use them if you're playing on another console at a friend's, I suppose. Pretty cool to be able to transport your skills on the go, but... figurines!!!

I would assume anywhere video games are sold. They will probably be near where they sell the Skylanders and Disney Infinity stuff in the Nintendo isle.
