Highly unlikely. I read an interview recently where they explained that it was a more time-consuming process than we think. I'll go find it.

EDIT: found it:

Here's a realistic thought: Pokémon Z or another main series game for release due in June.

Yeah, I read that when it was posted, but Sony still has almost 100% of its PS One, PS2, and PSP titles for download across the Vita and PS4. I don't think it helps Nintendo's sales as much as they think it does to release them so slowly, but even that I wouldn't mind if they had a high profile release more often then every month or two. They don't even release a new game for all the Virtual Console systems every week which is frustrating.

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

That's correct. The VC games aren't rom dumps, and they need to get approval from third parties to bring their games over, which Nintendo does in their own time (According to Natsume. Unfortunately, this means the opposite can happen and things like NCL rejecting Lufia II for the Super Nintendo in favor of the abysmal Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures). Nintendo pretty much prepares their own games on their own, but in terms of NES and SNES games they've released essentially every first party title they owned. A mass upload of VC titles will never happen, period.

It should also be noted that NOA'S indie guy, Dan Adelman (before he left the company to become a PR guy for indie games like Axiom Verge) is the guy responsible for the slow pace of VC games. When Wiiware launched, he wanted to make indies the focus of the Wii Shop channel instead of having third party games being pumped out every week on VC, overshadowing them. Therefore they decided to try releasing one at a time, which ended up causing more sales to the point that North America is the region where the VC is the most successful. I swore I read all this in several interviews over the years, and I think Dan himself confirmed the "Drip feed" method is incredibly successful and therefore unlikely to go away (which I honestly don't mind as long as we get something every week) for North America. When you take a look at the EU and JPN miiverse communities for VC games, you can easily see how barren they are in comparison to the NA communities. While miiverse doesn't always indicate sales numbers, it does give a general idea with how North America is the more successful region for Virtual Console games.

I do hope Konami gets around to releasing the Turbografx VC games over on the Wii U VC in North America, though... (And NES games they can release like Gyruss and Metal Gear would be nice too)

Ehhhhh, the last one doesn't count. 5 minutes and confirmation of a pair of games that had been leaked the day before isn't much of a Direct.

Nintendo had no way of knowing the games were going to leak though
