Explanation of IVs. They help, yes. A lot. However, some Pokémon intentionally have low IVs in certain area (such as if you want a slow weather starter to guarantee that your weather will be set up, like Tyranitar, and/or you want to use Trick Room to the fullest).

If you have just some random IVs in your Pokémon, you're in a great disadvantage. Basically every possible damage calculation you're going to make, is wrong or against you. Every HP counts.

@BDS, I already made my Max IV(except SpA, which is 17) Larvitar. There shouldn't be that much awesomeness in it.
