Sorry if I'm like missing some obvious clue, but does anyone know if the water one has an additional type?
I would be kinda cool if it were dark, so that the triangle of super-effectiveness would be (almost) symmetric.

I think that's what they're going for. Personally, I think it would've made more sense to have Chespin be Grass/Dark and Froakie be Water/Fighting in order to balance out the starters. Cuz with Primary types, Fennekin beats Chespin which beats Froakie which beats Fennekin. Alternatively, with the secondary types, Fennekin would beat Froakie which would beat Chespin which would beat Fennekin. It would involve a lot more strategy when fighting rivals, instead of having multiple ways of savagely beating or getting beaten by them.
