I must say, I am happy that Vensaur, Charizard, and Blastoise ARE in fact, getting Mega Evolutions (eh he; this is seeming like a "starter popularity contest" ).
As one person suggested, this gives us an opportunity to have a trio of starters (Blaziken/Froakie/Venusaur or Blaziken/Chespin/Blastoise, unless other Gen 3 mega evolutions are revealed), so... yay!
