You know, originally I hated the idea of a Fairy-type, but where that page says Mawile could be Steel/Fairy, I find myself surprisingly interested

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

I always considered Ice to be a "Glass Cannon" type, meaning that I normlly just try to outnuke the other pokemon before I die.

Bubbles

But why does it have to be fairy? I'd be happy with any other name

Nebbles

I don't know? The name could be worked on but at this point I'm tired of people arguing about it. Light would have sounded better but eh I don't want to nitpick.

Yugi

Fairy type might just be the japenese name.

For example, fire type in japan is Lava Type so...

Nebbles

exactly

so it could be called light type here or something else so who knows!

Yeah, just like the Dark type is the Evil type in Japan. Fairy would still makes sense in English though, with 'mons like Clefairy and whatnot.

Thanks. For a moment there I was worried, though. I almost needed to blow you.

SlowPokemon

I feel like it would kind of ruin our perception of those monsters by changing their types, though, and make using those Pokemon in any non-gen 6 games feel obsolete.

Well the same thing happened when they introduced the Steel type, but I guess it wasn't "as bad" because there was only one gen between the introduction of the new type, and only the Magnemite line changed, but still... I don't think it'll make them obsolete, Clefairy is still gonna be annoying in NU and Togekiss will still be a monster. (assuming their type changes)

Oh gosh well Togekiss already has two types...

What if they changed Magnemite's type again for teh lulz

I'm guessing their Normal type will change to Fairy or whatever it's gonna be called

Wait, so which types are not 16 years old?

Roz~

The Dark type and the Steel type were introduced in Gold/Silver, making them 13 years old in America.

Oh. I actually didn't know that. So it wouldn't actually be weird for them to introduce new types..

Waddle Bro

Quote from: FSM-Reapr on February 14, 2013, 09:17:52 AMYou know, when Sylveon is revealed to be Fightning type all theories of a new type are negated, I'm going to say "I told you so" so hard.
