This. Nor does it look like a Rock type at all.

Fuck logic, that shit is boring, lame and does not always support my opinions.

If I had to guess any type combination for Xerneas, I'd say Light/Grass (or Psychic/Grass, which would put it at a great disadvantage to Yveltal).
I would say Fighting/Grass, but Virizion was also that type...
And the moral of the story: Quit while you're a head.

Light/Grass fits Xerneas perfectly. Yveltal looks to be dark/dragon or dark/flying.

I highly doubt there will be a light type. Or even a new type.

Anything is possible.

Apparently some guy predicted the english names of the Pokemon as well as some other stuff that hasnt been officially revealed yet

But then heres this, which was posted before the names were released

does this mean there really will be a fairy type T^T

SlowPokemon

Don't overreact to unconfirmed information. Remember that time your dream "spoiled" Unwound Future?

...no one was supposed to remember that

I'm not sure whether to hope or rue the thought of new types... (Do I want them or not?)

^That's what I'm telling myself, but if they were to introduce new types, it would add a new spin on battles.. I could get used to it.
Let's say that if they don't bring any new types to the table, Nintendo isn't running the risk of ticking me off.

guys, a new type won't ruin the game. I know it's sudden and weird to us, but guess what: the same happened with steel and dark in gold and silver.

If Fairy balances out how horribly over-powered dragon is and buffs up some weaker types, please, so be it.

Yugi

Fairy might just be the Japanese name.

Bubbles

Its not that I think having a new type would be weird or change Pokemon too much for me to like it, I just see no real need for a new type right now.

And with what Pokemon Smash revealed, if it is a new type its super effective against ice which isnt really helping anything for that type

Nebbles

Neither did people when dark and steel were introduced. Until they realized a new type was actually useful.

Gen 5 is Gen 1 for the new generation, and gen 6 is their gen 2. So of course the new types will be weird to us, but to the little kids, they won't care. They'll be happy because they have new types of pokemon to catch! Think of it that way!
