Step 1: Get one of the starters for free (I got a Turtwig).
Step 2: Breed that and then use the GTS to get other starters and Pokemon you want.
Step 3: Use spares to get legendary/Shiny Pokemon from all the joke offers on the GTS that asked for starters/Feebas before Pokebank was out, and then WonderTrade those legends.
