If anyone could spare some time, I could use some help.
I have some questions:
1. Note beaming correct? In some spots I'm unsure.

2. Key sig? I was thinking 1 or 2 flats (F or B flat major).....

jegilmer

I may need someone's second opinion, but it sounds like the tonic is C. It also sounds like it's using some mixture of the blues scale based on C and possibly C mixolydian?

Edit:

Perhaps a combination of various "blues" scales?

Very cool song. Btw, this is my first song with the new template I'm using. Tell me what you think.

As always, feedback would be great!

Change all those Abs to G#s in Final Boss. I know it looks melodically correct with the flats but that doesn't supersede chord progressions.

Gj with "Final Boss", aside from what FireArrow pointed out, it's great. :J

Only problem I had was in measure 15.....wow.....hardest measure of my life :p
Anyway feedback would be awesome! :)

Jompa

You should put it in F-minor from measure 1 through 14, and C-minor from measure 15 and out.
Birdo for Smash

-Measure 14: I would put a fermata on the last chord and leave it like that. Then you don't need a 5/4 measure with a ton of rests.

-Measure 15: As I mentioned in the last point, this could then just be 4/4 time with a run comprised of triplets. Just put a real slow metronome marking at the beginning and put an accelerando early in the measure and a new metronome marking at measure 16.

-In measures 20-23 I would prob try to notate the left hand a little differently to indicate the slide on the off-beat of beat 1 as opposed to just straight-out glissando right on the beat. Something like this maybe:

And yeah, this song is in C minor save the intro. Though Jompa I'm kind of inclined to disagree with you on the intro. I would argue that the intro is also in C minor because of the common G major chords serving their purpose with the harmonic 7th. I've done some study into the flamenco style which is almost completely built off this dominant major chord and this whole intro just screams C minor to me. (With the obvious exception of the first measure)
"Today's goal strongly involves not dying. Because nobody likes to wake up dead."
