also, this is a slim chance, but I'm getting an ocarina in a few weeks and if I could use it for anything, depending on my skill level... for this project. if possible. if not, just piano is okay.

Neat, also, how about flute? This really needs a treble wind beacuae the only instruments we have are all in lower registers (plus two violins).
