I was a dark, relatively cloudy night...

Jub3r7, the Rescuer of Princesses, had begun his mission to save the 12 Princesses from [insert cliche plot here].

His journey began in the Mushroom Kingdom.  Walking into the Kingdom's castle, Jub3r7 met with a familiar face.  It was vermilionvermin!

"Princess!" Jub3r7 exclaimed with glee, rushing towards vermilionvermin.

"Jubertastic!" vermilionvermin responded, with open arms.  Unfortunately, Jub3r7 rushed passed him to cordially greet the actual Princess; Princess Peach.

"I should have known he wasn't happy to see me when he said Princess..." the Duchess grumbled.  It was actually quite ironic.  Due to vermilionvermin's sound and astute policies as Peach's aide, he was able to appropriate vermillion dollars and was actually richer than Peach herself.  But even so, despite his wit and gentility, vermilionvermin never became popular, due to being overshadowed by Peach.

"So what brings you here?" Peach asked to Jub3r7.

"Just checking in to make sure that everything is peaceful in the Mushroom Kingdom.  And that you're safe." he responded.

"Ah." Peach giggled, blushing a bit.  "Well, I can assure you that no major problems have occurred recently.  The Mushroom Kingdom is in a bit of a Golden Age, in fact."

"That's good news to hear." Jub3r7 said, appearing relieved.

"You look tired.  vermilionvermin, please be a dear and escort our brave Rescuer to the finest bed in the castle." Peach ordered.

"Ma'am, yes, ma'am.", vermilionvermin said sardonically, leading Jub3r7 to his room.

"Still as grumpy as always?" Jub3r7 joked.

"Teehee." vermilionvermin responded.  "I'm just always bothered that... well, never mind." he abruptly stopped and grinned.  "I've organised a few pranks to vent my irritation." he whispered, chuckling as he said it.

Jub3r7 raised an eyebrow.  "Always the prankster, hmm?"

"Of course." vermilionvermin smiled, doing a slight bow, as if he had just made a performance.  "But anyway, here's your room." he said, leading him into it.

"Ahhh, I can't wait for some rest... some respite..." Jub3r7 said, already laying on the bed, preparing to sleep.

"Don't let the bed bugs bite." vermilionvermin said, closing the light.  "... or the spiders." he finished, leaving the room.

"Wait, what?" Jub3r7 stated.  "... Oh well, I'll manage." Jub3r7 shrugged.  He's fought dragons, robots, robot dragons, and dragon robots.  Spiders wouldn't trouble him.

And so he rested.

It is now Night 1.  Night 1 ends Saturday, May 5th, at 11PM EST/10PM CST/9PM MST/8PM PST/7PM AST.
