I'm sure someone's already asked about this before somewhere in the far recesses of time...
But it's getting late, I'm feeling lazy, and I'm using Notepad 2008.

IS IT POSSIBLE??!!

I just need to know if I can, and if so, how.

Highlight the note in simple entry and then press "Shift + -/+"

No problem. The shortcut also works for regular flats and sharps just that they don't use Shift. You can also make a note natural by pressing "N"
