And I would have done the swing.  I'm not sure I can with NotePad.  Anyone know for sure?  Lemme fiddle around with it a little....

Sorry, but you definitely can't do it with NotePad :/
I would've done the magic tricks for you if only I could open it in my PrintMusic. They are quite complex if you want every staff to follow the swing/straight exactly where you want, so I am 100% sure you can't do it.

I am actually sorry I brought it up, but I didn't realize you used NotePad - I thought you had a better version, because you had a BPM-expression assigned at the beginning, which you normally need a better version to have. So sorry, just forget it.
And about those "one measure takes up an entire system"-things:
Something that has always worked for me is this:
You just simply edit something in that measure. Just move a note up and down, for example.
This should fix the problem! But idk, maybe something bugged from the xml is preventing it?

I have experienced many musicians to be ignorant of the /8-signatures, so at least I am trying to avoid them while arranging, but that's not really a big issue though.

I'm very rusty, so I would appreciate feedback.  In particular:
1) The first two measures of just percussion.  Any creative ideas for that?
2) I'm not as confident as I'd like to be in the run in measure 10.  If someone sees an error with it, feel free to point it out.
