Quote from: SlowPokemon on October 03, 2014, 09:47:24 PMOh I adored the game. Blueflower is the one who didn't care for it.
Not so fast, big guy. This is what I was referring to:
Quote from: SlowPokemon on October 02, 2014, 07:29:30 PMIt's both the weakest Professor Layton and the weakest Ace Attorney

Quote from: SlowPokemon on October 03, 2014, 09:47:24 PMAnd yeah it's like the game that just won't quit, it just keeps throwing curveballs and keeps going on long after you thought it would end xD Prepare yourself, because the second part of the epilogue is even better than the first part and it might be the first Layton game to make you tear up.
Ugh. Now I have to play it tonight. I'm at a comedy stand up thing right now, so I'll do it when I get home.

It is the weakest Layton and the weakest Ace Attorney though. I still loved the hell out of it. What Layton games did you think weren't better than it? xD

It was good. It blew my mind. I'd play it again in a heartbeat, but of course, these still apply.

This is just sort of a random tidbit that doesn't have much to do with anything, but I thought I'd point out that today marks two years since Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask was released outside of Japan! I bought it on release day, and I have a weirdly specific memory of playing it for the first time. That was back when I still had a normal-sized Nintendo 3DS, so I got to re-experience it totally on my XL the following summer which was a lot of fun.

Layton looks like the type of game I'd be interested in but I don't know if it's worth retail price

Nebbles

It's definitely worth retail price.

Dude if you don't want to pay for a newer one, just track down a used copy of one of the DS games (Curious Village and Last Specter are both good starting points). You can get the DS cards pretty cheap and the second and third games are only like $15ish for even a brand new copy.
