My guess is that it might be tied to the Nintendo NX that's coming out. I don't know of any way they can really make it work with Wii U and 3DS, as much as I'd love for that to be the case.

Just registered a Nintendo Account with my NNID. Can't wait to know more about My Nintendo, NA, and NX, specially NX~~

Hopefully they keep the "Nintendo NX" name for the console, it's beyond perfection. F-Zero NX anyone?

not a fan of just a couple letters though

they should probably fire the guy responsible for making names like "New Nintendo 3DS XL" and "New Super Luigi Bros. U" and "Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS" to see if that helps

It's just called New Super Luigi U, no bros. involved.

To be fair, strange titles are one of my favorite things about Nintendo as a company. (Suddenly having numbered Mario Kart games is one of my favorites)
