Yeah! Especially with the use of Pedal.

I can also imagine this piece done with Harp.

The pedal is always the same from the beginning to the end, no changes :P

Here is the harp version:

Since I got my first full-sized digital piano last Tuesday, it is imperative that I learn something super hard right away. What a great idea.  :P

I already have all the left hand memorized and can play it almost perfectly... by itself. I haven't learned any of the right hand yet because I'm lazy. Oh God, imagine playing both hands at once...

I think it's about time I learned a tango.

Ah screw you guys, I could play all the Etudes by age 5!

Well, I can BS my way through Revolutionaire, so I guess that counts for something. My left hand has about all the coordination of a toddler with severe CP :P

On the topic of Joplin's music, I love it to death. His music in particular just "clicks" well with me. Same goes for Rachmaninov and Debussy. But no matter how hard I try, I just can't really get Mozart or Beethoven or Bach to really sound good. I love the music to pieces, but I guess it's just not right for me :\

I've already learned this song before and can play it just fine... not so sure about my other quartet members though. Gotta teach them this in about two weeks.

Can any of you recommend some notable dirges for the piano?
I am lacking dirges, and I want some to enjoy.
Any other music written for funerals or the like would also be appreciated.

Maybe Variation IX "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations? Or the last movement from Tchaikovsky's sixth symphony?
