You blocked a lot of people out by using 2011

save the .mus as an XML file (File > MusicXML > Export... (or similar)) and I'll be happy to make both changes.

Well, I only have it for seventeen days or something like that. And Wiiman, it won't let me do that--I can only save as MUS or MIDI

You go to Music XML and then press Export.

I have the full version of Finale 2010 and I can only save as .MUS, .MID or .FTM

Well, if Notepad doesn't even have that (which I thought it did ) then I can't help, sorry.

Finale prides themselves on having Notepad read and export Music XML files
