No, in the key of A minor it's D#.

Hmm, I've never learned to do accidentals that way. It just looks like a descending chromatic half step to me.

Trust me on this. It's right. The nature of the chord dictates that it's a D#, not an Eb.

I don't mean to turn this into a debate, but I don't quite understand, are you trying to keep accidentals away from the dominant?

Unless your dealing with chords, my understanding of accidentals is that flats indicate downward motion while sharps indicate upward motion (at least, according to my counterpoint book.) Notating that as an e flat would be telling the player "we're going down a half step" while a sharp is just confusing. If there's some theory rule I'm missing, please tell me.

Hmm. Well I'm using it because it's a tritone chord.

A tritone in A is A-D# not A-Eb. Just like how a C tritone is C-F# not C-Gb. The fourth note is raised for that chord, the fifth isn't lowered.

Oh, I see! Gee, that's kinda trippy, you have to see that chord (wouldn't that just be A diminished though?) with only two of the notes there. I'm impressed, good job!

Wait a minute, what's the different between a tritone chord and a diminished chord, because A diminished would be notated with an Eb.

Oh, haha, I always find it funny how all the rules of theory seem to magically work together. And I know what you mean, if it were only the mus, it would be easy, but when you have to make pdfs too, it becomes such a pain.

If D# and Eb weren't enharmonics, I would change it.

If another thing to change would motivate you, your Abs in measure 7 and 15 should be G#s (it's a G# diminished chord.)

The bad news is, this is an ensemble arrangement, not a piano arrangement. The good news is, I worked hard on it and it sounds great as a result.
