Hmm, I think we should do a Region-exclusive tournament. Ex:

Kanto Tournament:
Rules:
Only Pokemon eligible are of Generation I. Must have six Pokemon, any types are allowed.

Banned Pokemon:
Mewtwo
Mew
(Not sure whether to include Dragonite)

Or, there's also
Johto Tournament:
Rules:
Only Pokemon eligible are of Generation II. Must have six Pokemon, any types are allowed.

Banned Pokemon:
Wobbuffet
Lugia
Ho-Oh
Celebi
(Not sure whether to include Tyranitar)

...and so on and so forth. Sound good or not-so-good?

^^^^ (Region Cup) It would be really cool if each player had to choose a region, then they could only use Pokemon that were native to that area.
Obviously, more than one player would have the same region.

Then, there's always the Challenge Cup. Where the system randomly picks your Pokemon, moves, and items for you.

I recently finished watching the Whirl Cup in the anime, where only water-type Pokemon were allowed.

A Tower Cup would only have standard Battle Tower rules, with only three Pokemon per team...

Of course, there could always be a tournament with double battles, or with only one Pokemon per person, or maybe other type-exclusive tournaments besides the whirl-cup...

Of course, these are only suggestions.
I want to hear any that you might have.

The Whirl Cup idea is cool, but obviously it would be harder to do that with types like Steel, or Electric, or Fire, because there aren't that many...

anyway, I played a guy with the three gen 5 dragon legendaries and another dragon type and totally WRECKED him with umbreon. he ragequit after the 4th one though.

It's hilarious when you fight people with so many ubers, not expecting to win, but then 1-hit KO some of their legendaries.

Whirl cup is essentially another monotype tournament, no?
And it's easy to sweep ubers when you know what you're doing. Well actually we don't know if Kyurem/Reshiram/Zekrom are ubers so I guess I should say it's easy to sweep legendary 'mons when you know what you're doing.

Roz, the Whirl Cup is not the same as what we were just doing... in the Whirl Cup, everybody uses only Water-types.
