Johto: Totodile

In Kanto, I wake up to find that my brothers claimed the starter I want, so I'm kinda stuck with Bulbasaur.
Although I haven't been to Kanto yet. I actually wanted Squirtle or Charmander.

In Hoenn, (Haven't been there yet), I wanted Mudkip, but my brothers woke up earlier than I did. I'm stuck with Torchic...
Actually, I have been to Hoenn, helping out with my brother's Mudkip, but I haven't actually ventured there on my own journey.

I'm just going to hold out hope that the evolved forms have better names. But, as I've said before, Snivy is going to be my starter, mediocre name or not.

Vipé: Vipère aka viper.
Lierre: Ivy
Reminds me of the english name though this one sounds bad imho.

I'm not sure actually. The only thing I can think of is mousaillon aka ship's apprentice.
There is probably loutre (otter) or something similar hidden somewhere in that word too.

That's cool, they didn't screw up with those. I wonder If Tornelos/Voltolos/Landlos/Kyurem/etc will retain their Japanese names.

Maybe. Probably Kyurem, due to the fact that Reshiram and Zekrom weren't changed. Although I could be wrong.

Also, do you think Kyurem will be (Grey?)'s mascot?

Probably. It does make sense since it's part of a trio with Reshiram/Zekrom. And since Kyurem doesn't have the same base stats as the other 2 it may have another form, kinda like Giratina. Dunno if the last part is true though but imho it's plausible.
