Being trying to beat Mega Mawile, couldn't get past half health with my current team, so gonna fetch Charizard and Moltres. Got Charizard currently, but Moltres is suprisingly hard.

I feel like doing some sort of challenge/different Pokemon run... like either a romhack of sorts, or a nuzlocke, idk. Was debating either Platinum, Crystal (doing a randomizer nuzlocke for either) or a romhack of a gen 1 game.

When doing a nuzlocke do I have to catch the first poke in an area or can I skip it

You have to catch the first Pokemon in the area.

Yes, but you can't catch another in the same area.

You don't NEED to catch it, but you can't catch a different one in the same area.

And there is the duplicate clause, which states you can not count a pokemon as the first if you have already caught one of that type.

You shouldn't be picky in a Nuzlocke though. That's what gets you killed.
