I don't know why people here don't use paper fans more often.  Everyone in japan just walked around with them and they're GREAT.  They also just hand them out as advertisements for political parties/candidates or pachinko parlours and whatnot, so it's pretty cool.
The most you see here is some guy in a hawaiian shirt flapping a map in his face.

Paper fans are awesome. I have a few like.. actual, nice ones laying around and I used them in school during the hotter days. Works like a charm!
