Well, for the past three years, my travel life sucked... all i went to was Seattle for two days and various trips to SLO and Flagstaff.

It was pretty impacted though, and I had to shell out almost 10,000 dollars for it, so... i dont want to brag... it was pretty tough

Maybe that's the reason we don't travel.
We're pretty lower-middle class.

The only places I travel to are various states near florida for summer camp and Washington state. That's it.

Im in the same boat... that money was from over 6 years of saving and such (though about until 5 years ago, we were upper-middle class)... im lucky i got all those scholarships to college... otherwise, i wouldn't have been able to go, or ill start my adult life with 80,000 dollars in debt.
