Yyyyyyyyyup. Wish I was a senior; I have several friends in that class and they'll all be leaving me anyways, so the only thing I've got anchoring me is my friends in my class (most not as close as the seniors. I mean, yeah, there's Brainy and the other guy I dragged on here, but they could honestly pass as seniors as easily as I could)

So my mood has taken another serious hit.
I kinda feel bad for playing with someone's heart because I knew a girl liked me but I didn't really like her back, so something possessed me to say something like "oh yes, you're the best possible friend" and I feel like an asshole for saying that now. And I've fucked up on a couple of recent tests and exams so yup things are going downhill. Actually, it's not even downhill, it's just straight down. There's just like a negative aura around me, and when people say stuff like "what's wrong, you're not normally like this" my first instinct is to reply "no shit I'm not normally like this" instead of talking things over with them, so I just lie and say "no, everything's fine". I don't even know what I'm doing, to be honest. My close friends really want me to see someone about it but I refuse to. Is it some sort of "pride"? I don't know. I think it's because I just don't trust random strangers, even if they are a professional.

On the other hand, the stuff that isn't appropriate for this forum has gotten better, so that's good at least.

that sounds a bit like depression and there's nothing wrong or un-pride-ful about seeing a professional about it!! I mean you wouldn't let "pride" keep you from going to a regular doctor if your leg was broken, would you? That'd be silly. It's the same with things that affect your mind. You need medicine for those too, it's not easy (if possible) to just stave them off out of a sense of will. Seeing a professional and getting medicated did more for me when I was depressed than anything else could have.

I know you said you don't trust random strangers (But would you trust a physical doctor to cure your broken leg??) so this advice may be moot anyway but it hurts me to see when people try to say pride or whatever is a reason to not see a professional about brain-issues because that doesn't help the stigma against problems with mental health and it is just harmful in the long run.

I hope you can figure out what to do about it though, whether it's seeing a professional or just figuring out how to get yourself out of the funk, because nobody deserves that

Noc you have a right to an opinion but I know several (trustworthy and intelligent) people who have resisted therapy but eventually tried it and ultimately admitted it was what helped them overcome their problems
