En tous cas, croit moi bien, j'ai jamais l'intention de se moquer de ma langue. Just to clarify, I'm ACTUALLY newfie (I've lived in 4 different provinces however :S). No one speaks French with a Newfoundland dialect anymore though, it's pretty much died out. My alcoholic great-grandpa didn't like speaking French much anyway cuz he was a grumpy old ass, from what I hear, and had no use in French after English kinda took over his hometown. My mom made me learn though, and I'm glad.

Speaking of our heritage. Did you watch the English debate today? Do you plan on watching the french one? I'm pretty sure I chewed all my nails off watching it. For any Canadians that don't speak French and don't realize that the French debate is not a translation of the English one, it'll be on tomorrrrrow. D:

On the current topic. GUYS BITCH ALL THE TIME. GAWD. Guys pick like one time out of the month to just be a tactless ass for a week. And. We don't even have an excuse, ahaha.

Woo, I actually understood that. It's been about 5 years when I studied French and I thought I had forgotten pretty much all of it. I was pretty good at it, I had 4 courses and had 3 As and one B. But the exams were soooo easy. There was stuff like, a picture of a plane and we had to write it down in French. Just like in the elementary school._.

I actually watched a little bit of it on CBC after the fact. If I watched the French one, I would be so confused, I would need to take Advil to get rid of that headache!!!

I am not really involved in Canadian politics, though... we have problems of our own and people and I are beginning to start up campaigns for the 2012 presidential election and all.

I agree, the debate certainly was interesting. I especially like how Jack Layton pointed out our flawed system of winning seats in the House of Commons.The difference in # of votes between... the Bloc and the GP is 1 379 628 - 941 097 = 438 531. Yet, the Bloc won 49 seats while the Green won zero. That isn't really fair at all. It's not proper representation.
I think it's awesome that we have the English and French debate. That way, we essentially get two different debates, two differents sides, sets of things being said, home turfs, et cetera.

In other news, I remember a year or two ago laughing really hard at a friend who didn't know what a clitoris was, if my memory serves correctly, we were 16. Ahahaha

And yep, our system definitely is flawed. We talked about that last week in my Politics class and it was very interesting. I'm going to watch the debate later today too, I'm pretty sure it's going to be interesting. At least I hope so.
