Also today, I managed to get really decent results (within 1 degC of accuracy to the literature value, and the highest product yield) for the first part of the lab. But the second part was a total mess and a really low product yield. Here's how the (female) TA deals with it:

Guy next to me: Erm, I didn't get any results for part 2 of the lab. What do I do?
TA: OK, don't ever tell anyone this but I'm going to let you copy another person's data.
Me: I didn't get any good results either, how am I going to finish (the rest of the lab).
TA: I dunno. Just write what you think you did wrong.

On the plus side, I can apply for the American Chemical Society...I like astronomy better >__>
