Also, I got my first teaching day today at school. It's called TurboTAKS to get us prepared for this standardized test (TAKS). So, everyone reviews over all the objectives of the subject (science). 40 of those people, however, are going to lead a booth, each, in our 2 gyms (boys and girl's gym, but we didn't split up by gender). 20 tutors in boys, 20 in girls. I was put into the girl's gym, and it was BORING! I was actually the life of the party there, too -_- Only because someone that I was teaching popped a bag (reall loud) and when someone sat in my chair at the booth, I tried moving them out of it... they fell, hung on to the table, and the table flipped over, with all the bags filled with cards, flash cards, a folder to keep all my stuff in, etc. This was loud too, but this time everyone noticed...

I heard it was better in the boy's gym...

7 hours of teaching... and my voice is half dead.

I'm gonna be a WHOLE lot nicer to my teachers now...

Considering changing the thread title to "The Post Your Thoughts of the Moment Thread V.2.0"

 V.2.0 always sounds more badass.

Yay? Nay?

My thoughts of the moment, from a discussion with a friend.

Well, from my point of view, nostalgia for what we've lost is a two sided card. On one side you have the pain from loss and the memory and the unbearable nostalgia itself, but on the other side you have the positive force of the memory and how it affected your life. Therefore, nostalgia for what we once had can overrule what we never did have. Now... See More, that is to say that nostalgia for what we never did have is only a reminder for what we lusted but could not have, assuming that is the context in which we are nostalgic. In my experience, it's much more bearable to have nostalgia and bear the pain rather than be nostalgic for what we wish we had. In fact, most of my memories are nostalgic for what I once had but lost and through those memories I find the ability to go onward with life.

So that's what I know, it's not much, I know, but it's bringing back a lot of nostalgia. =p

Harvest

9/10 day at least, despite school and all.

Haven't had one of those in oh so long.

Generally days are 4-5/10...recently around 7/10 though.

Nostalgia for what you wanted but never had; correct me if I misunderstood, but isn't that regret/remorse?

Most likely. It was a response to something someone said that went "Nostalgia for what we've lost is more unbearable than nostalgia for what we never had." So this was my paragraph ranting on about it.

Well, for me, I tend to remember only the good things. If I remember anything bad, then I try to find what good came out of it.

I found out I have sciatica today. It explains (half) the pain that I've had lately. Otherwise, my right knee hurts HORRIBLY! I can't put pressure on it without tears nearly coming to my eyes...

Over heard one of my friends explaining how to use a lightbulb as a vaporizer. Some people will do anything to get their fix.
