Hmm I'm bored so I'm going to use Algebra on the equation "Harvest + Happiness = Sunshine"

For example:
Harvest + Happiness = Sunshine

-Harvest                                -Harvest

Happiness = Sunshine - Harvest

...That doesn't sound right. :P

EDIT: onoz a bike ride outside!
NOOOO!!!!

Sunshine - Happiness = Harvest    | multiply by -1
Sunshine = Harvest + Happiness   | Addition Property of Equality
Sunshine - Harvest = Happiness    | Subtraction Property of Equality
Happiness = Sunshine - Harvest    | Reflexive/ Identity Property

It's on a need-to-know basis that you don't need to know.

Darn it. Tomorrow I have to be prime minister of the UK in 1910 and somehow prove to my classmates that British imperialism was a good thing. Hard, but fun.  :P

Today I had an Orchestra "Competition".

There's about 40 of us: 7 violas, 6 cellos, 4 basses, and 23 violins.

We played string arrangements of "On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss" and "English Folk Song Suite: Seventeen Come Sunday".

Overall, we got a perfect in every scoring category for every song, including a sight reading piece that we had never played before. So we earned the perfect rating of "Superior".

I am happy.  ;D

OMG! I'm playing that song in concert band! ^_^ It's a sad song (if you know the lyrics) but kinda boring dont ya think?

HugoMeister

I really like that song. You need to hear the string version to really appreciate it. There's a You-Tube of the string version somewhere.....ah, here it is.

On a Hynmnsong of Philip Bliss

Yes, I realize they are out of tune. We were perfect. THIS IS NOT US.

...There's lyrics? lol

I know the story behind it, but I never knew there were actual song lyrics.
