Ehehehehe well, this is a fun turn of events... I'm glad they finally were upfront about all of those things, and y'know, I really do hope they're enjoying life wherever they are.

Also to respond to Deku's quote, I recall the days when Dudeman and I snuck in and made accounts on there (though Dudeman was there a while before me). I was promoted to global moderator B) (my acct is "Im Lost")

EDIT: Also this semester was HOT garbage. Like, holy smokes I'm surprised I made it through standing upright... I'm still exhausted...
Def taking a break from most technology over the winter and then I'll get back to posting stories and the like. I miss the forum and the activity :( But, I guess I can't say much if I'm not actively contributing to it, eh?

Really been on a weight-loss journey this winter! I successfully lost 10 kg from around october to now! Weighting 91kg in october and around 80 now. My main form of losing weight was really long walks (and also cutting down food/snacks as much as I could). Many days I walked around 10 km (around 6.2 miles), which was one of the best ways I found to consistently lose weight.

I also studied a bit more how many calories various foods contain, and tried cutting down on chocolate (which has been my more or less favorite candy), and also limited my consumption of nuts (which I thought was a healthier alternative to chocolate, lol) and opted for lower calorie/sugarfree candy and soda. Also tried taking smaller portions of meals. And it did in fact work as I lost around 10 kg. I kind of like the long walk way of losing kg, as it doesn't tires you that much, so you can just walk as long as you feel like pretty much. The only drawback is that it takes a lot of time, and can be quite boring... I am quite happy that I lost 10 kg, but I do feel a bit skinny, lol. But the health benefits do make up for it. I do think in hindsight that it might be better if I'd do more resistance training/building muscles instead of only opting to lose weight. That way I would have gained more muscles, which would be a better result, rather than just lose fat. But it doesn't matter that much, as I'm now focusing more on building muscles.

I'll also used some of the knowledge I've gained, when studying various food amount of calories and other nutrients. I use to a very shallow knowledge of it, think that some foods are "healthy" and good and others are "unhealthy" and bad. And I've learned that it's a lot more nuanced than that and a lot of the things I thought were just wrong. For example, used to think that"chocolate is better than candy", well... depends, but probably no. And switching to nuts from chocolate is better cause nuts are "healthy" and chocolate is "unhealthy", well... didn't really help anything. And it's also interesting how you've gotten the idea that all "snacks" are the same (and bad). Like candy, chocolate and ice cream are all the same and bad. Which, well, the're all more or less bad, but Ice cream for example has around half the amount of calories as chocolate and also less sugar. So it's really not all the same. And also how all "healthy" foods are just good. Which also isn't true since nuts for example have very high amount of calories (so it should be consumed in moderation). So, I've gotten a more nuanced and better view of things, which I'll use in order to stay more healthy.

Noticed a few days ago, when playing piano, that my pedal technique was very poor :(. However it's not something that I've paid much attention to. But when I tinkered around with the pedal a bit, I found out that pedaling is way more nuanced than I thought. I used to only do the "switch pedal before new chord" and also sometimes add pedal to a bass note. But I now found out that it's a lot more nuanced and that those 2 techniques alone doesn't always work. In arpeggios, for example, I find that switching around the last note of an arpeggio is better than switching just before the new arpeggio. Or gradually releasing the pedal is sometimes better. And sometimes you can hold it down for longer, and only switch sometimes to clear the sound a bit. So a lot more nuanced than I learned. A bit sad noticing that my pedal technique was poor, but I guess that's something to work on and improve. :)
