I'm approaching this tentatively. A lot of TV series/movies based off of video games are just pure garbage. (See: Super Mario Bros movie, The Legend of Zelda animated series that was cancelled after one season, etc.)

The pretty much all are. The first Silent Hill movie was alright, the Resident Evil movies were dumb, the Kirby animated series was...actually not entirely awful. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Max Payne, Prince of Persia, Need For Speed, all terrible.
