China is technically a communist country?  The primary religion of China is Buddhism?  Communist countries aren't supposed to practice religion because of communism?  You can take that up with my old social studies teacher or something.  Although I guess I didn't think that people who aren't Christian would celebrate a Christian holiday.

In communist RUSSIA people religion was outlawed for some time. While I'm not extremely familiar with Chinese history, practicing religion in China today is perfectly acceptable. Christmas isn't even a Christian holiday. Invented by the pagans, adopted by the Romans, modernized by the corporations. Jesus was born in the Spring.

my social studies teacher from a few years ago went to china and came back and gave a 40 slide powerpoint presentation... maybe that info is outdated now.  But Christmas definitely is a Christian holiday, just because it was adopted from those doesn't mean it isn't Christian.  We still celebrate the birth of Christ
