Coasters?


Tallest and fastest currently working coaster.


Technically the fastest coaster in the world, whenever they get it to work.


More fun when you see its trains in action.


Yes, that is a loop. On a wooden coaster (the tallest there ever was, at that). However, it was later removed. The coaster hasn't been working for years.


Also, concerning Expedition Everest:

It was the most expensive coaster built to date, costing a hundred million dollars (twice as much as this bad boy). It also had an insanely complicated animatronic yeti in it, which cost more than the coaster itself. The roller coaster, the mountain and the yeti actually have separate intertwining support structures, neither of which are touching each other (this is due to the vibrations from the coaster and the yeti messing with each other as well as the structure of the mountain).

However, the yeti broke a few years ago. In order for them to repair it, they would have to pluck apart the entire mountain. So now it just sits there dormant. Not even sure if you can still see it while riding.

Trying to understand what "The Yeti" is on the ride... the shadowy figure that they project?

^Nowadays, it's just a projection. Earlier, it was a 5 metre tall robot that moved and everything. I think it is (barely) visible in all its glory on some older on-ride footage on YouTube.
