It's the Met performance... so I am really looking forward to it. It's my first Wagner Opera (not my first German one -- that is Die Fleidermaus)

I saw the Met performance of Donzetti's Anna Bolena a few weeks ago with Anna Netrebko. It was pretty awesome -- wonderful Bel canto.

Lol I didn't know Ligeti was Austrian (wooo!). But still... I don't like his music really... It's more like art than music in my opinion. But still worthwhile to listen to it now and then. It's so hard to understand his music for me. Once I have heard a string quartet. And I thought I had to die... It really sounded like dying cats.

Hopefully I will be able to go to the "Staatsoper" in Vienna this year... the tickets are so expensive, unless you don't want to see anything^^.
