6 hours left before my class start, and I'm stuck here without anything to do. This is gonna be boring. D:

My PC died today. It just shut down, and I couldn't restart it.

Happy news, though, it was only the adapter (the third one I've got with this PC... ). The relief I felt when it turned back on with all files and settings intact, can only be compared with walking around with "the need" for four hours, on vacation in Marocco, and then finding a toilet with a working lock and plenty of loo roll.

Backup time, I think. Just to be safe.

My computer recently started having random freeze-ups. Completely unpredictable. It may happen while its starting up, while I'm using GIMP, while browsing the internet. The only sure fire way I've found that makes it freeze is going on the halo demo which used to run fine on this junk heap.

Edit: Finished watching the 1000 episode of X-Play. Pretty sweet marathon. Watched it from 3:00 - 7:00. Completely worth 4 hours of my life.

Semester 2



no spare period this time...damn...

huh..well looks like semester 2 goes by really fast..easy courses I guess.

Trams are cool.

Of course just travelling normally with one isn't that special...how about rather renting one?
And then filling it with 120 engineering students or so. And driving around Helsinki aimlessly for 3 hours.

There's also a tradition that the previous president of guild gets out of the tram and tries to pick up a girl from a tram stop. After succeeding and getting the girl to the tram, all guys kneel and sing a romantic song to her. Turns out she was underage, though. Whoops.

And when some poor guy had parked his car on the tracks so the tram couldn't pass? A bunch of people jumped out of the tram and carried the car out of the way. Too bad the owner showed up in the middle of the process. This happened twice.

Oh and make sure you don't stand too close to the door when it opens, especially when wearing a backbag. It just might get stuck between the door while you helplessly try to squeeze yourself out. Just sayin'.
