It was part of a larger problem where all you had to do was simplify as far as you can without imaginary numbers.

x³+64
(x)³ + (4)³ - write each number as the cube root.
(x+4)(x²+16) Factor + Simplify.

x³+64 =/= (x + 4)(x² + 16)

because

(x + 4)(x² + 16) = x³ + 4x² + 16x + 64
