You can still combine like terms across equations and inequalities.
Take, for example,

First:
2x•47 + 6 - y = 5x

Subtract 2x from both sides

47 + 6 -y = 5x"

umm...this WAS math...

2x•47 + 6 - y = 5x if we subract 2x from both sides there are two things you can do(and yes you can do this)

A: 2x•46 + 6 - y = 3x
B: 92x + 6 - y = 3x




Now the real problem is when we divide by zero, if we break this rule, we can do whatever the crap we want...What is "divide (a - b) from both sides" going to do if A and B are equal? (a - a) = ?(hint: 0) which makes it undefined.

Also, doing this course schedule for the next three years or so. (Well, five, but the last two are only for choosing a major or something, not the actual classes). It sucks.
