I was camping on 9/11! Didn't hear a single word about it.

You just don't get it, do you? It was a deliberate attack by Muslim extremists whose plans were even worse than what happened. The reason why we mourn the deaths of those people is that we, as Americans held a concerted effort to save those people. FDNY and NYPD and other Emergency teams also sacrificed their lives to save people.

The reason why we remember 9/11 is because of our togetherness as Americans to show that we are strong even if we were attacked by surprise... not to mention part of our defense HQ was attacked too.

I would write more, but I'm not at a computervand won't be for another 4 hours

Dude

I heard absolutely nothing this year about 9/11.

Of course, all I really watch on TV is Cartoon Network, Nick, and Comedy Central.

No one mourned like this about the Alamo, however >_>

Like, honestly... 9 years. There's a time when you just have to let go.

I just saw stuff in the news about the Koran burning business. Not really anything on the memorial, though there was likely a Facebook thing going on.

Yeah I live in NY too.

I seem to be missing a piece of my ear.

10 years is a long enough period for a respectable mourning. Any more and I feel its just becoming a holiday.

You did nothing of the sort. I did nothing of the sort. None of here did anything of the sort. We were grade schoolers. Hardly FDNY, NYPD, or Pentagon material.

Hell, I didn't even realize what had happened for while, and even when I did, it wasn't that big of an impact. The people who it truly hit hard are the people who were there, and they ought to be the ones who want to mourn.

Yes, its all very tragic, and the victims and their families were wrongfully hurt, and what-have-you but this is hardly the worst thing ever to happen to the USA or people in general. It just doesn't affect all of us. We're not together. And some of us feel that the time has come to move on.

Even if you're one of those people who lost family there, then that still doesn't give you the right to call us un-American when we want to move on. We were by you for 10 years.

What really tears me apart is that people are so uneducated about this. People have gone to call a whole religion evil and unholy, only after one incident that a group of extremists did. It's not like Americans haven't done anything of the sort >__>

its been hours and hours..

and I'm still...tripping on acid..

Quote from: HugoMeister on September 10, 2010, 01:23:42 PMToday during a senior class meeting, we had some guy come talk about donating blood. So he has this powerpoint, and he puts his flash drive into a laptop hooked to a projector.

And his porno collection comes up. A whole folder full of dicks. And by "folder", I mean "other guys asses."
