Anyway, it A useless not an useless. You only use AN as an article when it comes before a noun that begins with a vowel. You wouldn't use it for an adjective like useless. Though it begins with a vowel it is not a noun, pronoun, or proper noun.

So the answer, once again, is 'A useless'.

Yeah, you're right. Thought about that. When you pronounce "useless", you get a kind of "y"-sound, kinda like when you would pronounce "yuseless". Sorry.
