Only RNG them if you want to have good IVs and nature for breeding or you want them to be shiny; otherwise don't bother.

RNG is the abreviation of Random Number Generator. To put it simple, you're abusing the game to get pokemon with desired nature/IVs/shininess.
If you want to learn how to RNG, I suggest watching bearsfan092's videos on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyChWsfHL48
You could also read some guides on Smogon if you're still unsure about what to do. Oh, and you don't have to kill roamers as said on the video.

I know this is for Slow, but I used the info to successfully catch a near-flawless Haunter. It's gonna become a powerful Gengar someday... and since I kept a Pokémon with Pokérus incubating in my PC, its going to be a pretty powerful Pokémon, too!

took me about an hour when all was said and done... i catch on real easy and it was similar to using a PID generator on PokéSAV
