Depends on the game. If not explicitly stated to be disallowed, DMs can be shared. At least, that's how it was when I started playing here.

Yeah, leaking (and faking) DMs is allowed.

I guess we'll have to live with the probably inadvertent death post.

TWG CXXII: Rock Paper Scissors DEATHMATCH

Rock
1. Rock Vigilante
2. Rock Reviver
3. Rock Nullifier

Paper
4. Paper Vigilante
5. Paper Reviver
6. Paper Nullifier

Scissors
7. Scissors Vigilante
8. Scissors Reviver
9. Scissors Nullifier

Misc.
-Order of operations: Nullify > Revive > Vigi
-For example, the following chain could exist: (paper nullifier) targets (rock nullifier) who targets (paper vigilante) who targets (scissors reviver). In this case, the paper nullifier at the top of the daisy chain would cancel out the rock nullifier, allowing the paper vigilante's kill to go through. The scissors reviver would be dead, but his revive would still go through.
-Example 2: If a nullifier and vigilante target each other, the nullifier wins out.
-Example 3: If a vigilante targets a nullifier who targeted a reviver, the nullifier dies, but because the vigi's kill does not block the power of the person he targeted, the nullify still goes through, and the revive fails. Uh oh!
-Your team wins when your people are the last ones standing.
-Standard stuff regarding game minutia. Someone gets lynched every day phase, phantoms are in play, instas are on, no cardflips.
-You can't vigi someone who was dead at the start of the phase in case they get revived. Likewise, you can't revive someone who was alive at the start of the phase in case they get vigi'd.
-If there's a question about the game, @ me in the thread so I see it quickly.
-Be as clear as possible when using your night actions. Bolded actions and names help.
-Have fun. Looking forward to this--you guys rule!

Vigi PM
You are the ___ Vigilante. PM me the name of someone you want dead, and if no one nullifies you, they'll be dead at the end of the night.

Reviver PM
You are the ___ Reviver. PM me the name of someone you want back in the game, and if no one nullifies you, they'll be alive at the end of the night.
[close]

Nullifier PM
You are the ___ Nullifier. PM me someone's name to stop their night action in its tracks...unless someone nullifies you first. Choose carefully.

I-I-I-I-I-INSTAAAAAA

Oricorio lost a game of Rock Paper Scissors. These things just happen sometimes.

It is now Night 2. Night 2 ends in 48 hours, on Saturday, April 27 at 20:00 Central Daylight Time.

TheZeldaPianist275

To address the questions about rules that have just come up: Oricorio PM'd me after the insta took effect and apologized--had the setting that notifies you when someone posted before you turned off. I believe this to have been an honest mistake, particularly because I hadn't updated the phase yet or given a vote count in a while, and as such I'm going to let it stand rather than kicking a player and throwing off the balance for everyone. That said--everyone please be careful to avoid doing this in the future by checking to see if any new votes have been cast when you're at risk of being lynched.

As far as PMs go, yes, because PMs are readily forgeable and therefore part of the misdirection inherent in TWG strategy, they are completely fair game for sharing (unless they're PMs with the host)--see rule 4 of the guide. Screenshots, on the other hand, aren't allowed.

TheZeldaPianist275

Also--promise this is the last thing--please note that night phases will be 48 hours, as Night 1 was, going forward.

Quote from: K-NiGhT on April 25, 2024, 05:28:55 PMI am also having issues trusting Oricorio, knowing that the Scissors Vigi is not only still alive, but was the one who killed Davy.

Alright. We have a bit of a conundrum with the Scissors Vigi. Three scenarios have presented themselves.

1. As noted in Knight's quote, the scissors vigi is alive AND killed davy.

2. Through Oricorio's copypaste DMs from davy, davy claimed scissors vigi himself.

3. Also through Oricorio's copypaste DMs from Knight, Knight claimed scissors vigi himself.

Knight, in option 1, are you referring to yourself? If you aren't, you changed your story or Oricorio faked a DM.

A little over 3 hours left in the phase. Lock in those night actions!

ThatHiddenCharacter, therealmathguy, & K-NiGhT all picked the same thing in a game of Rock Paper Scissors, which uhhhh makes them all die I guess.

....but davy rebounded from his prior loss and said "best 2 out of 3?" (That means davy was revived, I'm running out of RPS-related jokes here)

It is now Day 2. Day 2 ends in 48 hours, on Monday, April 29 at 20:00 Central Daylight Time.
